Conflict Improv:
A Communication Workshop
What to Expect
A guided experience + private communication coaching
Conflict Improv blends principles of improvisation and contact improv to help you meet challenging conversations with presence, adaptability, and self-trust. Instead of rehearsing the “right” thing to say, this practice teaches you how to stay grounded, relational, and responsive when dialogue takes an unexpected turn. You’ll learn to recognize your habitual reactions, widen your range of choice, and move through conflict with more clarity, curiosity, and intention.
We start with exploring core communication concepts to help you understand how conflict shows up in your body and in your relationships. Then we shift into low-stakes warm-ups inspired by improv and contact improv, simple, playful movements and prompts that open up your sense of attunement, flexibility, and presence. We end with guided real-time practice, where you'll work through meaningful scenarios with a live coach who offers feedback, support, and direction.
To deepen integration, every participant also receives a 30-minute 1:1 coaching conversation after the session. This is your space to unpack insights, refine your skills, and apply what you learned to a real situation in your life or work. It’s where the practice becomes personal, tailored support that strengthens your confidence and helps you bring these tools forward with intention.
Presence over Performance
Challenging conversations don’t require perfect language, they require attention. When you’re present, you’re not pretending, defending, or rushing ahead.
Accept the Offer
Pause. Name what is present. Build from there. In improv, an “offer” is anything that shows up. In conflict, the offer may be discomfort, uncertainty, or something you didn’t expect to hear.
Adaptability Over Control
Stay responsive when things change. Conflict Improv builds the capacity to adjust emotionally, verbally, and physically when the conversation takes an unexpected turn.
Shared Responsibility & Clear Boundaries
Safety and honesty are co-created. Generative conflict depends on consent, awareness, and mutual care.
Curiosity Instead of Certainty
Mistakes are information. All improv treats errors, surprises, and missteps as useful data not failures. Curiosity keeps conversations generative, even when they’re uncomfortable.
For people who want to have a meaningful or difficult conversations with more clarity, intention, and self-trust.

I think about what happens before hard conversations, that quiet internal moment where people are still deciding, Am I safe? Do I trust myself? What actually matters here?
