Meet Nicole
I believe that changing how we relate to one another has the power to change what becomes possible in the world.
My work is rooted in a simple but important truth: the quality of our conversations is shaped by what we bring into them, our beliefs, our capacity to stay present, and the ways we respond to one another in real time. When we strengthen how we show up in relationship, we strengthen what becomes possible in our families, our communities, and the places where we work and lead.
For more than two decades, I have worked at the intersection of teaching, learning, leadership, and human development. My professional path has included leadership in nonprofit organizations, deep work in organizational culture and change, and years of facilitating learning experiences that help people grow in self-awareness, communication, and collective responsibility.
I hold a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Leadership for Educational Equity and am a Certified Cognitive Coaching℠ Coach.
My approach is both practical and deeply human. I draw from mindfulness, coaching, adult learning theory, systems thinking, and lived experience to help people build ways of being in relationship that are more honest, more dignified, and more sustainable.
Over time, this work led me to develop The Circle of Reciprocity, a framework built around three roles, three mindsets, and five skills that support more intentional communication. It is not a model for fixing others. It is a practice for participating with greater presence and intentionality in relationship.
Through a(om), I offer coaching, facilitation, and guided learning experiences for leaders, coaches, facilitators, and reflective individuals who believe that how we show up shapes what becomes possible.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to helping people communicate with honesty and dignity and to creating spaces where people feel more capable, more self-aware, more hopeful, and more connected to what matters most.
Meet Matt
I believe that how we move through the world, how we pay attention, how we relate, and how we build, shapes the quality of our lives and the systems we are part of.
My work is grounded in the practice of helping individuals and teams deepen their awareness of themselves and their relationships through story, lived experience, and connection to the natural world. I am a writer, observer, and wilderness adventure enthusiast, and I bring a spirit of curiosity to self-development, supporting people as they navigate present challenges with minds open to possibility, discovery, and new ways of seeing.
Alongside this creative and reflective practice, I have spent years working as a Project Manager, leading complex projects that require coordination across people, timelines, materials, constraints, and vision. This work has shaped how I understand systems in a very practical sense: how many moving parts must be held in relationship for something meaningful to come into form.
In project management, success depends not only on technical knowledge, but on communication, presence, adaptability, and the ability to translate intention into coordinated action. I bring these same sensibilities into my work at a(om) helping people notice where alignment is strong, where breakdowns are occurring, and how to move forward with greater clarity and coherence.
I draw on lessons from mindful practice, systems thinking, project leadership, and a life of outdoor exploration as I translate insights into meaningful content and reflection for a(om) on Substack.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to helping people reconnect to curiosity, presence, and a more intentional way of engaging with the world around them.
